Lead and Wire

Lead and wire seals are often used with small diameter openings such as drums, hoppers and valves. Seals are available with copper, galvanized, tinned, bright annealed, monel or stainless steel wire. The lead and wire seals come pre-assembled or the components such as the discs and lashing wire are available separately. Hand presses are available blank or with custom engraved letter/logo dies.

  • Lead Diameters Available: 5/16”, 7/16”, 3/8”, 1/2”
  • Wire Strands Available:  2, 3 or 4 strands 
  • Wire Material Available: copper, galvanized, tinned, bright annealed, monel or stainless steel
  • Numbering: Sequential, 7 digits
  • Marking: A star shaped lead is available with sequential numbering and lettering

  • Insert the wire through the opening of the item to be sealed.
  • Pull the wire through the hole in the seal to the desired loop length.
  • Place the lead part of the seal into the press and fully compress to close the openings.
  • Gently pull on the seal to ensure it is properly locked.
