Container Bars are heavy-duty security devices designed to secure the doors of shipping containers, trailers, and other cargo compartments. They provide an additional layer of security and are compliant with C-TPAT requirements.

Installation:

  1. Slide U-Bracket: Place the U-bracket around the right-side inner locking rod.
  2. Insert Main Bar: Slide the main bar through the slots in the installed U-bracket from right to left, ensuring the bend in the main bar faces the container.
  3. Install Locking U-Bracket: Place the locking U-bracket around the left inner locking rod.
  4. Slide Main Bar: Continue to slide the main bar through the slots in the locking U-bracket.
  5. Align Holes: Ensure the holes in the locking U-bracket and main bar are aligned.
  6. Insert Locking Bolt: Securely affix the locking bar by inserting the locking bolt. Verify proper locking.
  7. Record Serial Number: Record the bar number on shipping documents.

Removal:

  1. Inspect Seal: Check the seal for tampering and ensure the serial numbers match.
  2. Cut the Bar: While wearing proper safety equipment, cut the bar at the indicated location using an abrasive cut-off or grinding wheel.
  3. Dispose Properly: Remove and dispose of the seal following safety protocols.
